Performed by the talented students of Braeburn International School Arusha, The Big Life tells the inspiring story of the Windrush generation – Caribbean immigrants who journeyed to the United Kingdom in the aftermath of World War II, seeking new opportunities and brighter horizons.
This groundbreaking British musical blends ska, calypso, reggae, and gospel to create an electrifying and heartwarming production that explores themes of hope, ambition, cultural identity, and resilience. First performed at the Theatre Royal Stratford East in London, The Big Life made history as one of the first British black musicals to transfer to the West End.
