About the event
Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe is a deeply human, funny, and moving play about finding hope in life’s smallest joys, as one person begins a list of “everything brilliant” in the world to help their mother through depression; a list that grows with them through love, loss, family, and healing. Told through intimate audience interaction, the play has touched hearts across the world for its honesty, warmth, and celebration of life.
The 2026 Kenyan edition by Afritheatre Collective features Olwal Dickens in a powerful solo performance, under the direction of Carol “Coach” Odongo and Ian Mbugua, promising a heartfelt and unforgettable theatrical experience that will leave audiences laughing, reflecting, and holding on a little tighter to the beautiful things that make life worth living.
