About Hadestown:
In a world gripped by harsh climate chaos and poverty, Hadestown reimagines two intertwined ancient Greek myths into a haunting, modern allegory.
The story follows Orpheus, an idealistic young musician with a song capable of bringing the world back into harmony, and Eurydice, a fiercely resilient survivor driven by hunger and desperation. Seeking warmth and security, Eurydice is lured to Hadestown—a booming, industrial underworld factory where workers trade their freedom for protection.
Driven by King Hades and his estranged wife Persephone, Hadestown is a fortress designed to keep the world out—and its workers in. Armed with only his golden song and unwavering faith, Orpheus embarks on a dangerous journey into the underworld to rescue the girl he loves.
